Summary: We stayed for three nights. The hotel is clean and comfortable, a little dated, but definitely not really noticeable. We felt the atmosphere was really nice, especially being able to sit outside and enjoy the fire. Prices on drinks from the bar, in our opinion, outrageous. $40 for two drinks is a bit much. Our room was clean and the cleaning staff was very nice.

Summary: We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with our dog. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened onto the expansive lawn at the front of the hotel, with a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the mountains and over the town is spectacular. It was a perfect room for traveling with a dog, as our dog could go right outside to pee without us having to trek all the way through the building. We were able to feed him and give him water out there as well. There were other families with dogs in these types of rooms. So if you are traveling with a dog, try to get a balcony room and ask to be on the first floor. It is convenient and the view is fantastic.

Summary: Amazing staff, and even upgraded our room when we discovered there was a problem with sink drain! Liked that they provided free coffee and ice water all day. Lovely view of the lake and town, and able to walk to town, but not be in the fray of tourists. Restaurant on premises was a plus but very warm and seemed to be no air circulating or a/c in there. Loved the decor with historical pictures and Adirondack-style furnishings. The bedding was a little outdated and there was no fan in the bathroom or ceiling fans, but loved the little "patio" outside the room to sit and enjoy the view. Overall, I would definitely stay here again instead of the using a hotel on the main street.

Summary: Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable- slept great. The layout of the building is a little strange and seems a little maze-like. Great location for walking in town.

Summary: Beautiful hotel in perfect location to view the beautiful lake, mountains, and walk to the main attraction site, the Olympic Center literally next door. Smiling staff. Many nice, comfortable sitting places throughout the hotel.

Summary: The location of this hotel couldn't have been better! Being on top of the hill allowed for beautiful views. The hotel was equipped with everything that we needed, it was just a little dated especially for the price per night. My only complaints were that our view directly out of our room was a field full of dandelion stems and one morning I got up early before breakfast began, took my laptop to work until the buffet opened at 7am but was asked to leave the room until 7am (it was 5 or so minutes before and nothing going on in the room).
